MALAYSIA - 'Labuan's population too little'

The long-proposed construction of a bridge linking Sabah and Labuan is at the planning stage, according to Federal Territory Minister Datuk Zulhasnan bin Rafique.
He said there have been discussions on where the bridge linkages should ideally be in the event the proposal is taken up. However, he said land reclamation may also have to take place, especially since land is becoming a problem in efforts to develop the island.
