DEVELOPMENTS - Six Palawan municipalities to be developed into economic zones

Palawan becomes part of the borderless trade program under the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines, East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA). Its six municipalities namely Brooke’s Point, Bataraza, Balabac Island, Espanola, Quezon, and Rizal will be developed into economic zones.
BIMP-EAGA is a borderless trading concept formed through the cooperation and coordination of the East Asean nations of Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. This cooperation ensures the free flow of economic activities between and among these countries.
