Citing recently released figures, Australian tourism officials are claiming the growth in international visitor numbers has slowed, but those who are coming are staying longer and spending more.
Managing Director of the Australian Tourism Export Council, (ATEC) Matthew Hingerty, said information released in the quarterly International Visitors Survey revealed that 5,037,483 international visitors came to Australia in the year ended June 30, injecting A$18.8 billion into Australia's economy.
