THAILAND - Vegetarian Festival boosts Phuket’s tourism with active bookings

17 shrines across the island of Phuket are organizing the annual Vegetarian Festival during October 21st to October 30th. All of them also join hands for a special procession and gathering on October 23rd in honor of His Majesty the King's 60th Anniversary of His Accession to the Throne. During a press conference, Anchalee Vanit Theppabutra, President of the Phuket Provincial Administration Organisation, calls for participants to wear yellow on October 23rd. She also points out that the event has been listed in the Tourism Authority of Thailand's calendar of events.
