Vietnam needs to have specific airports for low cost air carriers

It is now the right time to think of setting up specific airports to serve low cost air carriers, especially as regional budget airlines, including Vietnam’s Pacific Airlines, are booming.

The State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) has asked the Prime Minister to assign it to run the project on upgrading Gia Lam airport into one specifically designed to serve domestic and regional low cost flights and air taxis.
